(Miri, 23rd) – The current term of the Miri Hakka Association Council will expire at the end of this year. According to the association’s constitution, an election must be completed before the end of the year to smoothly form the 36th Council, inherit the leadership for the new term, and continue to promote the association’s development.
To this end, an Election Committee has been established, with Yang Chunde as the chairman, and the election was conducted by nomination. According to the arrangements of the Election Committee, nominations for the 36th Council closed at 12:00 noon on November 22, 2025. A total of 20 qualified members participated in the nomination, and all nominees were reviewed and successfully elected.
The list of elected members is as follows:
Jiang Xianzhu, Dato’ Sri Gan Baoxiang, Huang Nengxi, Zhang Hongliang, Jiang Shunshi, Huang Juheng, Huang Shiquan, Zhang Qihua, Yang Chunde, Cai Tianyu, Chen Weiming, Liao Xiuyin, Chen Xiaoliang, Mai Yaji, Zhu Xiaosheng, Yang Xiulian, Cai Qiang, Mai Yabao, Yang Wanyong, Chen Zunren.
Election Committee Chairman Yang Chunde thanked all the elected members for stepping forward, dedicating their efforts, contributing their wisdom, and giving strong support to the Council’s work. He also called on all elected members to attend on time the new Council’s follow-up meeting to be held at 2:00 PM on November 30, 2025 (Sunday), at the association’s second floor
