(Bandar Seri Begawan, 19th) The Embassy of Qatar in Brunei held a reception yesterday at the Berkshire Hall, Jerudong Royal Polo Club, to celebrate the anniversary of Qatar National Day.
The guest of honor representing His Majesty's Government of Brunei was Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah and spouse. At the reception, Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah and his spouse, together with Qatar’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Brunei, Abdullah Ahmed Ali, cut a cake to celebrate Qatar National Day.
Diplomatic relations between Brunei and Qatar have made significant progress, with both sides signing multiple agreements and memoranda of understanding, further strengthening and deepening cooperation in various fields. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Brunei and Qatar, which officially began on October 2, 1991.
In recent years, the two countries have seen increasingly close collaboration in education, science and technology, culture, and investment, fully demonstrating the solid foundation and broad prospects of their bilateral relationship.
