'Bavi' will continue to approach China as a super typhoon, most likely moving toward the Zhejiang-Fujian coastal areas and making landfall around the 11th. Multiple regions have already made advance preparations for prevention and control, with coastal areas in Zhejiang launching typhoon-prevention measures such as evacuation of island tourists and suspension of coastal water-related construction projects.

The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education has issued an emergency notice, requiring all primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, and off-campus training institutions to suspend all offline educational and teaching activities from the afternoon of July 9th to the whole day of July 10th, and not to hold any gathering activities. All types of summer camps, study tours, and similar activities should be suspended or postponed, and ongoing activities should have their schedule adjusted. Universities are to make reasonable adjustments to summer teaching, research, and social practice arrangements, suspend unnecessary group activities and outings, and school staff and students, whether on campus or returning home, should take precautions against the typhoon. Close attention should be paid to typhoon warnings, unnecessary outings should be minimized, and attention should be paid to safety at home and when traveling. Staff and students remaining on campus are asked to follow unified school arrangements and take appropriate precautions.

This year's 9th typhoon, 'Bavi,' may brush past the northern coast of Taiwan during the day on the 11th, or make landfall on the coast near the Zhejiang-Fujian border from the afternoon to evening of the 11th, reaching the level of a 'strong typhoon' or 'super typhoon.'

'Bavi' formed on July 2nd. As of 10 a.m. on the 7th, meteorological departments measured its cloud band diameter at over 1,300 kilometers, indicating a huge size and broad coverage, making it a typical and rare giant typhoon.

Bavi is undergoing its second eyewall replacement cycle, with its intensity slightly weakening, dropping to Category 16. This typhoon's development has been extremely stable: after upgrading to Category 17 on July 4th, it only dropped below Category 17 for the first time on Wednesday, and will ramp back up to Category 17 by Sunday, maintaining this intensity until July 10th. Thus, Bavi will have kept Category 17 strength for as long as seven days. It is expected to approach the eastern waters of Taiwan starting July 8th, arriving near the southeastern coast of China around July 10th, and possibly making landfall in China on the night of the 11th.

On July 10th, as Bavi approaches, China will see another large-scale, six-day period of heavy rainfall, with heavy rain to torrential rain extending from Taiwan northward to the northeast, and some areas even seeing extremely heavy rain.
