(Bandar Seri Begawan, 28th) The Brunei Fisheries Department has issued an announcement stating that starting from January 3, 2026, all Fisheries Department counters nationwide will fully implement a cashless payment policy, and all transactions will no longer accept cash.
According to the announcement, the public may make payments via electronic transfer through the One Common Billing System (OCBS) portal website (https://ocbs.mofe.gov.bn), or by using Brunei Islamic Bank (BIBD) Internet banking.
For cheque payments, the public may go directly to any BIBD bank branch counter to complete the process.
The Fisheries Department thanks the public for their understanding and cooperation, and urges everyone to prepare in advance to ensure a smooth transition to the cashless service model.
