(Bandar Seri Begawan, 13th) Organized by Brunei Sabre Travel Network Sdn Bhd, the 20th Sabre Brunei Travel Expo opened grandly today at Hall 1 of the Jerudong BRIDEX International Conference Centre, and will continue until tomorrow (14th, Sunday).
The opening ceremony was officiated by Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, Mohd Sharihin. In his speech, Brunei Sabre Travel Network Sdn Bhd General Manager Abdul Harlin said, "We are honored to celebrate the significant milestone of the 20th Sabre Brunei Travel Expo. This prestigious event will continue to serve as a vibrant hub for the travel and leisure industry—bringing together airlines, travel agencies, national tourism boards, and service providers for direct interaction with consumers."
He added that this year’s exhibition is the largest ever, featuring 37 exhibitors and 92 booths.
As one of the annual highlights of Brunei's tourism industry, the expo gathers airlines, banks, tourism boards, insurance companies, telecommunications enterprises, and many travel agencies to showcase a rich and diverse range of tourism products and services.
Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) is launching a number of exclusive special fares at the expo to attract travelers to book trips to their preferred destinations, alongside organizing activities and lucky draws to reward consumers.
Participating travel agencies include SCA Travel, Freme Travel, Pan Bright Travel, Southern Cross Travel, Anthony Tours, among others; meanwhile, Brunei Tourism Board, Malaysia Tourism Board, Sabah and Sarawak Tourism Boards, Taiwan Tourism Bureau Kuala Lumpur Office, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand are also present to promote.
On the insurance side, participants include Takaful Brunei Am, Insurans Islam TAIB, and National Insurance; financial and telecommunications participants include Baiduri Bank, BIBD, DST, Imagine, and Standard Chartered Bank.
Additionally, the expo features local F&B brands to enliven the event, with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf's food truck present on-site offering specialty beverages and adding to the bustling atmosphere.
