A Malaysian has joined the ranks of multimillionaires simply by selling a digital domain name!
This Malaysian, Azryan Ismail, recently set a record in digital asset trading history by selling the domain name “AI.com” for as much as USD 70 million (about RM276 million).
The buyer is Kris Marszalek, founder and CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com, who announced plans to officially launch the AI.com website, offering personal 'AI agent' services.
According to limited information displayed on the site, the service appears to be a consumer-oriented 'AI agent,' allowing users to send messages, use applications, and trade stocks.
“Last year, I got the opportunity to acquire this domain name. I thought, in the long term, say 10 to 20 years, AI will become one of the greatest technological waves of our generation. So, this would be a good investment.” Marszalek said.
Technology media outlet Gizmodo pointed out that this deal is believed to be one of the largest transactions in digital domain name trading history. Domain trading platform GetYourDomain.com had listed the domain name in March 2025, with an initial asking price of USD 100 million (about RM393 million).
