Over 4,000 People Participate in National Day Fun Run – Fahmi: Various Activities to Be Held Throughout the Entire National Month

(Kuala Lumpur, 27th) Minister of Communications, Datuk Fahmi, together with over 4,000 participants, took part in the 6.8 km National Day Fun Run held at Golden Tanjung Square on Sunday morning.
The National Day Fun Run was held in conjunction with the launch of the 2025 National Month and the Waving the Glorious Stripes Flag (MPBKKJG) campaign.
Fahmi, who is also the chairman of the 2025 National Day and Malaysia Day Celebrations Committee, started at 7:08am today (27th), running together with students, running enthusiasts, as well as personnel from government departments and agencies.

Senior officials from the Ministry of Communications also took part in the fun run, including Deputy Secretary-General (Strategic Communications and Creative Industry) Nik Kamaruzaman; Deputy Secretary-General (Telecommunications Infrastructure) Manowira Badran; Senior Secretary (Administration) Mazlan; as well as Director of the Information Department (JaPen) Zulina.
The National Day Fun Run was carried out in an atmosphere full of national and sporting spirit, with most participants waving the Glorious Stripes as they ran and walked along Muar’s (also known as Xiangfei City) iconic route.
Those who registered in advance received special edition T-shirts, while the first 1,000 who completed the fun run received medals as recognition. There was also a lucky draw with attractive prizes to liven things up.

When interviewed later, Fahmi said that today's fun run attracted more than 4,000 participants, surpassing the initial target of 3,000, reflecting the community’s enthusiastic response to the event.
He stated that the prelude activities for National Month that kicked off yesterday have been lively, and today’s main event was the launch of the National Month and Waving the Glorious Stripes Flag Campaign by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar at 10am this morning.

“God willing, we will be organizing various activities and side events throughout the entire National Month to celebrate National Day and Malaysia Day.”
“I hope that this morning’s event will inspire the people’s love for the nation and the spirit of cherishing our Glorious Stripes.”
