(Bandar Seri Begawan, 15th) The Botanical Research Centre of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), in collaboration with the Brunei Climate Change Office (BCCO), has launched the "Green Minds" program aimed at fostering awareness among young people about climate change and biodiversity loss. The program will commence on August 6, 2025, with its inaugural session attracting 31 students from Meragang Sixth Form Centre.
The goal of the program is to help students understand the impact of climate change and biodiversity loss globally and within Brunei, strengthen their appreciation of Brunei's natural environment, and inspire them to take action to protect nature and address climate change.
The program will take place at the UBD Botanical Garden, and through lectures, discussions, and forest ecology activities, students will gain a deeper understanding of environmental issues and be encouraged to protect the environment. The plan is divided into four phases and is open to students nationwide. For more information, contact office.brc@ubd.edu.bn.
