(Bandar Seri Begawan, 26th) From April 24th to 26th, 2026, the 13th World Chinese-language Writers Conference was grandly held in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia. Chinese-language writers and poets from around the world gathered together, showcasing the diversity and vigorous development of contemporary Chinese literature through forums, exchanges, and literary and artistic activities.
The Brunei Chinese Literature and Arts Association sent a delegation of seven council members to attend the conference this time, including President Chen Lizhen, as well as council members Zhu Yunli, Lin Yuantai, Zhang Wenfa, Zhan Xingmin, Lin Meiyu, and Li Fenghe. The participation of the delegation not only demonstrates Brunei's Chinese literary community's emphasis on international literary exchanges but also strengthens its connections and interactions with writers from other regions.
During the conference, President Chen Lizhen, on behalf of the Brunei Chinese Literature and Arts Association, also handed over a sponsorship fund to Miri Writers’ Association President Xu Jingping, and presented a piece of calligraphy to the conference organizing committee, as a sign of support and congratulations.
