U.S. President Trump said he has made it clear to Hamas that they must disarm, otherwise he does not rule out forcing them to lay down their weapons by “violent” means.

According to foreign media reports, Trump said during a meeting with Argentine President Milei at the White House on the 14th: “If Hamas does not disarm, we will disarm them. This will happen quickly and could involve violent measures.”
Trump said he has conveyed this message to Hamas through a third party, and stated that they have agreed to disarm, which is one of the requirements of Trump’s 20-point peace plan.
On the 13th, Hamas released the last surviving Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip, but has not yet publicly committed to laying down its weapons.
The Gaza Peace Summit, jointly chaired by Trump and Egyptian President Sisi, was held on Monday in the Red Sea coastal city of Sharm El Sheikh. The leaders of the U.S., Egypt, Turkey, and Qatar signed a document providing guarantees for the Gaza cease-fire agreement.
Trump described the four countries as providing assurances for the Israel-Hamas cease-fire, calling it a moment of great significance for both the world and the Middle East. He said the participating leaders achieved what everyone considered impossible, Middle East peace has finally arrived, and Gaza will begin reconstruction.
