(Lebanon, 8th) Lebanon’s Minister of Social Affairs, Haneen Sayyed, stated on the 7th that under Israeli attacks on Lebanon, the number of displaced persons registered through the Lebanese government’s relief platform has reached about 454,000 over the past week.
According to Xinhua News Agency, Haneen said that about 110,000 people from 26,000 households have currently been accommodated in 514 official shelters nationwide.
Haneen also mentioned that a stadium in Lebanon’s capital, Beirut, will be converted into a shelter and is expected to open later on the evening of the 7th.
On the same day, Lebanon’s Health Minister, Laqan Nasareddine, announced in a statement that Iraq has donated 15 ambulances to Lebanon, which will be distributed to hospitals in affected regions.
According to a previous report by the Lebanese Ministry of Health, since March 2, Israeli attacks on Lebanon have resulted in 294 deaths and 1,023 injuries.
