Mourning 6 US Soldiers Killed in Attack, Trump: Great Heroes

(United States, 8th) US President Trump on the 7th received the bodies of fallen US soldiers and paid tribute to them.

Trump personally attended the ceremony at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware to welcome back the bodies of fallen US soldiers. They are the first US casualties after the joint US-Israel military action against Iran.

Wearing a white baseball cap imprinted with “USA,” Trump solemnly watched as flag-draped coffins were slowly moved out from a military transport aircraft and saluted in respect.

Accompanying him at the ceremony were First Lady Melania, Vice President Vance, Secretary of War Hergeseth, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Kane, among other officials.

When announcing the launch of the war, Trump admitted that Americans might sacrifice their lives, and he reiterated this point on that day. Before heading to the Air Force base, at the Latin American Leaders Conference held in Doral, Florida, he said: “When it comes to war, there will always be these situations, but I think we will keep casualties to a minimum.”

Trump said that these six soldiers “returned home in a way they did not expect, but they are great heroes of our nation.” He also described the war against Iran as “a true service we offer, not just for the Middle East, but for the whole world.”

The six US soldiers were killed after a drone attack on a command post in Kuwait. The US has several military bases in the Middle East and stations tens of thousands of troops in the region.
