The Bullying Scandal Involving Sze Kei Yeung Escalates: Ka Lok Ng Refuses to Apologize, Gets Slammed by Industry Insider

Hong Kong star Sze Kei Yeung (Yang Sze Kei) recently appeared as a guest on the show "The Ninth Guest Room," hosted by Christine Ng and Lee Hoi Yin. During the show, Christine Ng revealed that when she previously worked with Yang Sze Kei on a drama, Yang had experienced collective bullying by the crew. This revelation immediately sparked heated discussion among netizens, who quickly dug up that the drama in question was TVB’s 2010 series "Links to Temptation." Now, this scandal has evolved into an entertainment industry “battle royale” involving various influential parties.

As involved parties of the incident back then, Ka Lok Ng and Bowie Cheung were directly asked on the latest episode of the web show "Entertainment Fun Fun Fun" whether they needed to apologize to Yang Sze Kei. Ka Lok Ng responded forcefully, with a categorical "absolutely not necessary," even openly calling out to Yang, "If she really wants to talk, she can come onto our 'Entertainment Fun Fun Fun.' I can invite all the people involved back then! I remember it all very clearly."

In their conversation, the two also began a round of veiled sarcasm, pointing out that many colleagues back then had issues with Yang Sze Kei, implying the problem might not have been with them. Ka Lok Ng said, "So many people told you; you should reflect on whether the problem lies with yourself. If colleagues around you really think there’s an issue but don’t tell you, that’s already giving up on you." These remarks seemed to suggest that Yang Sze Kei was ostracized due to her own problems, escalating the tension even further.

Ka Lok Ng’s comments immediately drew the ire of Hong Kong TV scriptwriter and producer Dickson Lau. On his own web program, Dickson Lau called out Ka Lok Ng directly, cursing at him in extremely sharp language. He accused Ka Lok Ng of consistently trying to cover up his wrongdoing and denying the existence of bullying, despite the testimonies of Christine Ng and Chan Man Na already making the facts clear. Dickson Lau believes that it was precisely Yang Sze Kei’s long-term efforts to keep the peace out of weakness that allowed these "opportunists" to take advantage of her, making her bear the unjust stigma for years.

Faced with strong support from Dickson Lau, the long-silent Yang Sze Kei decided to stop suffering in silence. She posted on Instagram, praising Dickson Lau and sharing a screenshot from his web program. The screenshot clearly displayed phrases such as “using programs to bully Yang Sze Kei again” and “Ka Lok Ng bullying,” showing her agreement with Dickson Lau’s perspective.

Interestingly, the incident also attracted a "random appearance" from TVB actor Benjamin Yuen, who commented under Yang Sze Kei’s post, "Some outsiders are stirring things up," apparently mocking Dickson Lau for taking advantage of the issue. Yang Sze Kei didn't mind, immediately responding with a heart emoji.

In fact, the seeds of this feud were sown as early as the 2024 episode of "Entertainment Fun Fun Fun," when Stephen Leung and Ka Lok Ng publicly revealed Yang Sze Kei’s “dark past.” Stephen Leung disclosed that Ka Lok Ng once had a crush on Yang Sze Kei and chivalrously stood up for her when she complained about being bullied. However, later the two men claimed to have realized they'd "helped the wrong person," alleging that Yang Sze Kei was "always looking pitiful, with tears in her eyes," but in reality, it was because she forgot her lines while filming, and when reminded, claimed to be bullied—casting doubt on her narrative.
