Wei Sheng Long Qi Lion Dance Troupe: Eye-Dotting for 8 New Southern Lions— Begins Spring Performances to Welcome the New Year

(Miri, 9th) The Miri Wei Sheng Sports Association Long Qi Lion Dance Troupe held an eye-dotting ceremony yesterday at Miri Hailong Temple for 8 newly purchased Southern lions, praying for smooth performances and peace and auspiciousness in the coming year.

These 8 new Southern lions were generously sponsored by Dai Song Fu, Deng Liming, Mr. and Mrs. Chen Hongbang, Sim Brother Contractor Sdn Bhd, as well as the Miri Zhubah Fellowship Association. After the eye-dotting ceremony, the new Southern lions also paid homage to the deities, wishing for smooth performances and all-round success for the team in the new year.

The chairman of the Wei Sheng Sports Association Long Qi Lion Dance Troupe, Chi Zhida, stated that the troupe will soon hold additional eye-dotting ceremonies for another 4 new Southern lions and a new dragon dance costume, to prepare for visits and performances during the Lunar New Year festive period.

He expressed his gratitude for the ongoing enthusiastic support and sponsorship from community leaders and caring individuals, enabling the troupe to continue its development and promote the tradition of lion and dragon dance culture.
