(Bandar Seri Begawan, 16th) The Fire and Rescue Department recently received a report regarding a landslide in Kampong Katimah Hari, Seria Gelong area. The authorities immediately dispatched a fire truck from the Jero Dong Fire Station to the scene for support, with a total of six firefighters led by Acting Deputy Fire Station Officer Saini to carry out rescue and prevention work.
Upon arrival, the firefighters found that the landslide location was about one meter from the reporter’s house, posing a potential risk. To prevent the situation from worsening, the firefighters quickly laid four canvas hoses across the landslide area near the house to cover and stabilize the affected site, reducing the possibility of another collapse.
The Fire and Rescue Department reminds the public, especially during the rainy season, to always stay alert, pay extra attention to the surroundings during daily activities, and regularly observe changes in the terrain around their homes to avoid accidents that may endanger life and property.
