(Seremban, 26th) DAP Deputy Secretary-General and Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Sim Chee Keong pointed out that ever since Pakatan Harapan came into power, whether in the federal government or the Negeri Sembilan state government, they have increased public welfare and promoted economic growth through concrete actions, and every policy is backed by proven results.
He said, since Pakatan’s administration in Negeri Sembilan began in 2018, the state’s fiscal surplus has increased year by year, with last year recording over RM200 million, reflecting robust financial management.
He added that under Pakatan’s governance, Negeri Sembilan has successfully attracted over RM19 billion in investments, while state reserves have accumulated to RM1 billion — both figures setting historic highs for the state.
“These are not just campaign slogans, but achievements and statistics that prove our record.”
On the other hand, he contrasted this with Barisan Nasional’s “record,” pointing out that after winning Johor, their immediate action was to increase government posts for their own people.
Sim Chee Keong made these remarks during Pakatan Harapan’s political rally in Chembong on Saturday night (July 26).
“After people cast their votes, what they hope for is for the new state government to start serving the people, improving livelihoods; yet what they [Johor Barisan] prioritized was to immediately add 10 deputy state exco positions to expand their own political interests.”
“Originally there were only ten state executive councillors, but after they won, they added another ten deputy exco positions. While we [Pakatan] are working hard to increase public welfare, they are instead increasing the burden on the people and consolidating their own interests!”
He continued, saying that since their rivals are unable to deliver the same track record in governance despite making various promises, all they can do is attack DAP and play the race card to take shortcuts.
