(Malacca, 9th) — Malacca Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf urges all parties to bring political negotiations back to the negotiation table instead of conducting them on social media.
He pointed out that all political parties should be open to good negotiations to explore how to translate unity into action and form a strong team capable of defending Malacca.
He said that the Malacca state election will be conducted under the 'BN+' model, and anyone is welcome to come forward for discussions.
"We are open to negotiations. We are not negotiating via social media because that creates an unhealthy impression."
Ab Rauf stated this during a media interview after attending an event last night.
He said that Malacca BN will defend the 21 seats it won in the 15th state election in the upcoming state polls.
He added that there is still no decision on the allocation of seats for BN. Instead, they will first assess and study whether the related plan will be beneficial to both parties.
As for whether PAS has already entered into talks with BN, Ab Rauf stated that, so far, there have been no formal negotiations.
"We haven't had any formal negotiations yet. But I hope we can stop negotiating via social media. We should be negotiating more cautiously at the negotiation table."
