Sammi Cheng and Dayo Wong star together in the film "King of Night", a major Hong Kong Chinese New Year release. To promote the film, she appeared on Carol Cheng’s program "The Do Show", and rarely talked about her marriage with Andy Hui. She revealed, “I’m such a rough person, like a man. Sometimes he’s even more feminine than I am. We should probably swap genders.” She also admitted that Andy Hui mostly takes care of her in life, and revealed the little trick that keeps their relationship strong.
Carol Cheng was curious about how Sammi Cheng and Andy Hui’s love began. Sammi confessed they started dating 30 years ago during their time at Capital Artists, and their relationship had to be kept secret then. “It’s been around 30 years in total: 10 years dating, about 10 years separated, and then we got back together and have been married for around 10 years as well.”
Sammi Cheng said that she and Andy Hui try to have dinner together as much as possible, and she will ask, “Any interesting tidbits or fun moments today? Did you meet anyone? Anything to share?” or ask if he was happy that day. She said this is very important to her. She’s not very knowledgeable about daily chores—she can cook, but doesn’t like to spend all day in the kitchen. Although she can't help much with the chores, she always supports him emotionally and gives him emotional value. “I’m not being modest, but I feel I’m not a very competent wife.”

She also revealed that Andy Hui takes very good care of her, praising him for arranging and managing household matters well, as she doesn’t have much patience for those things. “I can do it, but I don’t like to do it.
