(Kuala Lumpur, 8th) A video of a man allegedly behaving inappropriately at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 has gone viral on social media. Police investigations have confirmed that the incident was actually due to the man’s pants slipping down.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport Police Chief Rawi issued a statement saying police launched an investigation after discovering the video on social media and confirmed the incident took place on March 6 at around 9:50 pm, near the international arrival counter at KLIA2.

He said that the person in question is a 44-year-old Indian national. The man was originally scheduled to depart on a flight at 8:45 pm on March 5, but missed his flight after falling asleep at the airport.

"At the time, the man was scratching his right thigh at the scene, which accidentally caused his pants to slide down for about two minutes. Airport staff noticed the situation and stepped in to remind him."

Rawi stated that the man has since been contacted by an airline representative, who notified his family, and arrangements have been made for the Indian High Commission in Malaysia to assist him. He is expected to return to India on March 14.

He said police have not received any reports related to the incident, and reminded the public not to engage in behaviors in public places that may cause discomfort to others or be considered indecent.
