"Absurdist Master" Shen Yulin was hospitalized for treatment after falling ill at the end of July. On August 6th, he was diagnosed with leukemia and began to actively receive treatment. Two months later, on the 14th, reports emerged that he had already been discharged and was recovering at home. In response, Shen Yulin personally gave an update on his condition, candidly admitting that he is still receiving treatment in the hospital and hopes to return to work by the end of the year.
Shen Yulin stated: "I haven’t been discharged yet; I just occasionally get permission to go home and have a meal with my wife and daughter, but after eating I still need to return to the hospital. Currently, treatment is going very smoothly and everything meets the expectations of my attending physician, Professor Hou Xinan. At this treatment pace, there’s a chance I can return to work before the end of this year. However, my wife wants me to rest more and hopes my return can be postponed until after the Lunar New Year. We’ll discuss this further."
