Recently, there has been turmoil in the cryptocurrency market, and “Machik Brother” Jeffrey Huang was not spared either. In 20 days, he suffered losses of over NT$1.6 billion, and despite his strong financial resources, he increased his position in the market, only to be unexpectedly liquidated, losing another NT$1.7 billion (around RM220 million). Reportedly, his account is now left with only US$320,000 (about RM1.35 million).
Jeffrey Huang once profited US$6.5 million (about RM27.46 million) from HYPE coin, and was once hailed as a “legend in the crypto community”. However, recent market fluctuations caused his previously booked US$44.5 million (about RM187 million) in profits to turn into a loss of US$10 million (about RM42.24 million) over the course of 20 days. Facing total losses of NT$1.7 billion (about RM220 million), he himself calmly remarked, “Was fun while it lasted.”
