DBS Group Holdings President Tan Su Shan has been recognized by Fortune Magazine as one of the world's top 10 most influential businesswomen in 2025, ranking 6th.
On the 20th, Fortune Magazine released the "2025 World's Most Influential Businesswomen Top 100 list", with three women from Singapore making the list. Among them, Tan Su Shan is ranked the highest and is the only Singapore businesswoman in the top 10 of the list.
Last year, while serving as Deputy President of DBS Group, Tan Su Shan was ranked 89th in Fortune Magazine's list of top 100 businesswomen leaders. In August 2024, Tan was appointed Deputy President of DBS Group, and in March this year, she succeeded Piyush Gupta as President of DBS Group.
The top ten of Fortune Magazine's list include General Motors Chairman and President Mary Barra (ranking first), Citigroup CEO Jane Fraser (ranking third), AMD CEO Lisa Su (ranking fourth), and Huawei Vice Chairwoman and CFO Meng Wanzhou (ranking tenth). Two of the top ten hail from Asian countries.
According to Fortune Magazine, the criteria for the top 100 list include company size and financial status, as well as the career trajectories, influence, innovation capabilities, and efforts to improve business by the executives. Currently, over 50 women lead Fortune 500 companies, but this year only 20 women made the list, highlighting the increasing competition for rankings.
