常年大会由马来西亚童军总监拿督莫哈末辛比丁博士主持。
Datuk Shafiee’s election as Deputy Chief Commissioner is historic for Sarawak, as he is the first Sarawakian to hold this national-level key position.

Previously, he served as one of the 20 council members of the Scouts Association of Malaysia, and was elected at the 2022 Annual General Meeting held in Melaka, accumulating substantial experience in national-level organization.

During his three-year term of service, Datuk Shafiee has shown high dedication and ongoing commitment, actively promoting the development of scouting at both Sarawak and national levels, receiving wide recognition.

At the recent annual general meeting, he was nominated to run for the position of Deputy Chief Commissioner of the Scouts Association of Malaysia and was successfully elected unopposed.

Meanwhile, Haji Zomayah was smoothly re-elected as council member, demonstrating the organization’s strong recognition of his outstanding leadership and continuous contributions.

In addition to the council member post, he also serves as the Interim Chairman of the Scouts Foundation, actively promoting the foundation's work, providing strong support and resource assurance for the scouting movement, and playing a key role in enhancing the organizational structure and support systems, further raising the influence of Sarawak scouts at the national level.

The appointments of Datuk Shafiee and Haji Zomayah are expected to further strengthen Sarawak's voice and influence in national scouting affairs, with hopes that their continued service at the national level will bring more opportunities, resources, and benefits to Sarawak scouts, as well as actively promote youth development, especially the growth of Sarawak scouts, and make meaningful contributions to the advancement of the scouting movement throughout Malaysia.
