(Bandar Seri Begawan, 13th) Brunei Hengyi Industries Sdn Bhd recently held its annual Quran Recitation Completion Ceremony and Ramadan Donation Event, bringing together employees and community members to jointly participate in this meaningful gathering to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan and extend a helping hand to families in need.
A total of 62 employees participated in the Quran Recitation Completion Ceremony.
After the ceremony, Hengyi Industries held the Ramadan donation event.
The Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II, Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah, attended as the guest of honor. Other distinguished guests included Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Khairuddin, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office (Energy) Azmi, and Chinese Ambassador to Brunei, Chen Shaochun.
During the event, the company donated a total of BND 8,100 for Ramadan: to 12 underprivileged families and 9 orphans from Kampong Serasa Housing Scheme. The event concluded with breaking the fast together with beneficiaries and invited guests.
The Ramadan donation program is part of the "Hengyi Care" corporate social responsibility project, aiming to help beneficiaries ease their financial burden and hoping to make their upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations even better.
