(Miri, 4th) Malaysia Huining General Association President Dato Liao Zhiming urges all state associations to emulate Sarawak by actively organizing events similar to the 'All-Sarawak Huining Carnival' to further promote the Huining spirit, cultural heritage, and social care.
Liao Zhiming made this statement during his speech at the opening ceremony of the '14th All-Sarawak Huining Carnival' held in Miri. He expressed his joy and gratitude to be present at this grand event.
He extended sincere respect and gratitude to the current organizing committee, the Miri Huining Association, acknowledging their diligent preparations that enabled the successful hosting of this carnival filled with hometown affection.
'Since its inception, the All-Sarawak Huining Carnival has adhered to the goals of 'Bonding Hometown Affection, Gathering Strength, and Promoting Health,' and has now evolved into an eagerly anticipated annual major event for the Huining people of Sarawak. This year, it reaches its 14th iteration, further highlighting its profound social influence and solid community foundation.'
He stated that the carnival not only allows fellow townsmen from across Sarawak to gather together but also enhances their friendships through a variety of recreational, cultural, and family activities, improving physical and mental health and family harmony.
Dato Liao Zhiming also emphasized that in the multi-ethnic and culturally coexisting Sarawak, townspeople can still unite, actively promoting association affairs, which is commendable. This cohesion is the most precious asset of the association, worth cherishing and inheriting.
'I believe that through this carnival platform, not only can we promote communication and cooperation among townspeople, but also inspire a sense of identity and participation among the younger generation, injecting new vitality into the association.'
