Lei Li'ai: Grateful for Support from All Sectors, Striding Toward Another Glorious 20 Years Together

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 24th) Ma Shiyuanji Fitness Association President Shen Qiuxiang expressed in her welcome speech that the gala is the first large-scale anniversary event held since the establishment of Yuanji Fitness Association, making it especially significant. On behalf of the association, she extended the highest respects and heartfelt gratitude to all those who have long cared for and supported the association’s development, as well as to the board members and members who have walked together through wind and rain and dedicated themselves selflessly.
She pointed out that community organizations in Brunei are flourishing, with many having decades or even nearly a century of history. Although Yuanji Fitness Association has only been established for twenty years, it has always strived to take root, thrive, and grow stronger on this land. As such, this 20th anniversary celebration is filled with both excitement and anxiety for the members, hoping that more people in the community will come to know Yuanji’s culture and health concepts.
In her speech, she also especially commemorated the founder Mr. Yang Xigui, praising him for having led the association’s growth step by step, steadfastly adhering to the original aspiration of "promoting health and inheriting culture," and advancing the development of Yuanji Dance to this day. She said that from the very beginning, with only a handful of participants, to its gradual expansion today, countless people’s sweat and passion have been dedicated along the way.
Shen Qiuxiang pointed out that Yuanji Dance is not just a fitness practice, but an advocacy of a harmonious, natural, and healthy lifestyle. Through gentle and continuous movements, combined with breath and mental regulation, it helps to unblock meridians, harmonize qi and blood, and balance yin and yang, thereby improving immunity, alleviating stress, and promoting better sleep, making it suitable for long-term practice by people of all ages.
She emphasized that Yuanji Dance is especially suitable for middle-aged and elderly people, as it is a full-body, low-impact exercise. Practicing regularly over time not only helps enhance physical strength and prevent falls, but can also improve chronic disease markers, enrich spiritual life, and improve overall quality of life.
In addition, she thanked the guest of honor, seniors from various associations, and philanthropists for their generous support, which allowed the dinner to be held smoothly and successfully. She admitted that, as the first large-scale anniversary celebration, if there were any shortcomings in hospitality, she hopes that everyone would be understanding and offer their advice.
Lastly, Shen Qiuxiang called on the general public to continue supporting Yuanji Fitness Association and welcomed more people to join the Yuanji team, to jointly promote healthy exercise and the inheritance of Chinese culture, and contribute to building a healthy and harmonious society in both body and mind.
