Speech Claims He Didn’t Notice 'Resignation' Commotion - Muhyiddin: There’s Only One Faction in Bersatu

(Kuala Lumpur, 7th) Bersatu Party Chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin emphasized that there are no factions within Bersatu Party; there is only one faction, which is the 'Bersatu faction'.
He mentioned during the Bersatu Party General Assembly opening ceremony on Saturday night (September 6) that there was a commotion in the crowd when referencing the 'Move to Oust the Chairman', but when asked about the incident at the press conference, he explained that he was focused on delivering his policy speech and did not notice what happened among the audience.
Asked whether the commotion was triggered by internal faction disputes, he said, within Bersatu, there is only the 'Bersatu faction'.
“I have only one faction, the 'Bersatu faction', there’s no such thing as Team A, Team B, or Team C.”
Nonetheless, he stated that the leadership will request a report from the security team to understand the situation at the time.

As for whether any disciplinary action will be taken against those involved in the commotion, he said it is too early to say and a decision will be made after an investigation.
He stressed that the entire day's General Assembly on Saturday (6th), from the arm-in-arm assembly to the opening ceremony in the evening, went smoothly, so he does not believe that such a minor incident would affect the whole assembly.

Referring to the 'Move to Oust the Chairman', Muhyiddin believes that since he was elected chairman at last year's party elections, he will continue to carry out his duties until he steps down.
