(Siriya, 14th) As the mid-year holiday approaches, Siriya Zhongzheng High School held a series of enriching activities this week, allowing teachers and students to relax after their intense studies and mid-year exams, while also providing a platform for diverse student development.
On the 11th of this month, the school hosted a seminar for eleventh-grade students, with Ms. Hana from the Navitas team as the keynote speaker. The seminar included ice-breaking games like “Which Would You Choose,” a career aptitude test, a thematic sharing on “Turning Passion into Career,” an introduction to Navitas partner universities, and vision board creation.
Throughout the seminar, students participated actively and responded enthusiastically, creating a lively atmosphere. Ms. Hana was impressed by their involvement and enthusiasm, offering high praise multiple times. She also provided abundant university program information and related links, and guided students on how to use online tools to research course content and university fees, helping them make informed decisions based on their interests and financial situations.
The seminar not only broadened students’ horizons but also inspired them to set clear educational goals, laying a solid foundation for their future development.
Following this, at 7:15 am on the 12th, the much-anticipated English Singing Contest was held on campus, featuring both solo and group performances. Earlier, 26 solo contestants and 13 group teams had participated in the preliminary audition. After fierce competition, 15 solo contestants and 8 group teams successfully advanced to the finals.
On the day of the contest, the contestants were deeply engaged and gave their all, moving the audience with their captivating voices and winning rounds of applause. They showcased outstanding artistic talent, excellent team spirit, and boundless enthusiasm, bringing a spectacular audio-visual feast to teachers and students.
Today, the school simultaneously held a Parents Day and a bazaar, ending successfully. On Parents Day, parents of both secondary and primary school students actively came to school to collect their children’s report cards and had in-depth discussions with teachers about their children’s academic performance and growth, embodying the spirit of home-school collaboration and joint education.
Meanwhile, the secondary school department also held a unique bazaar initiated and organized by the commercial and accounting teacher, Natasha, aiming to allow students to apply classroom learning to practice. The activities covered students from grades seven to eleven, preparing them for larger-scale bazaars in the future through small-scale buying and selling and stalls.
The stalls that day were rich and varied, featuring a wide range of products including cookies, pancakes, cheesecakes, tiramisu, hamburgers, Indonesian meatballs, Indonesian fried noodles with eggs, kampong rendang rice, banana chips, wedges, jelly, lollipops, popsicles, tofu pudding with toppings, cupcakes, Milo, pandan drinks, and more, all appealing in color, aroma, and taste, making mouths water.
Students learned practical sales techniques, record-keeping, and cost calculation, reinforcing accounting knowledge, while also honing their communication, expression, and teamwork skills. Parents and students actively participated, with a lively atmosphere full of laughter and joy.
The series of activities not only enriched students’ campus life but also strengthened the bonds between teachers, students, and parents, adding beautiful memories to campus life, and concluded successfully amidst laughter.
