(Bandar Seri Begawan, 20th) In conjunction with the celebration of His Majesty the Sultan’s 79th birthday, residents of Kampong Mulaut and Mukim Sengkurong’s residents gathered together for a marathon walk, demonstrating the spirit of unity, health, and gratitude.
This event was held on Sunday in Lambak Kiri, with Acting District Officer of Brunei-Muara District, Pengiran Haji Mohammad Amir, attending as the guest of honor. The event began at 6:15 in the morning, attracting enthusiastic participation from local residents.
The village head and event chairman, Hamizan, expressed sincere gratitude to the honored guests in his speech and stated that this walkathon was not only a tribute to His Majesty the Sultan’s birthday, but also a meaningful activity to strengthen the cohesion among community residents.
He said: “This walkathon is part of our annual village sports activities. It aims to enhance connections within the community and encourage residents to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.”
