KUCHING, July 22: All Sarawakians have been called to continue standing together and supporting Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg so that Sarawak can continue to grow, lead, and inspire.

In his Sarawak Day text speech shared to the press, Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said everything Sarawak has accomplished was due to its unity, stability, and the people’s respect for one another, as well as their support for inclusive and progressive leadership that keeps Sarawak moving forward.
“Today, Sarawak is thriving. Under the strong and visionary leadership of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, our State is on a remarkable path.

“Sarawak is a high-income region. Our revenue in 2024 was RM14.1 billion as compared to RM6.7 billion in 2016.

“We are being recognised for our commitment to a new green economy, for our political stability, and for being a place where unity and religious harmony are not just ideals but a way of life,” he said.

At the same time, he also called for Sarawakians to remember and honour those who came before, for they have fought, dreamed, and worked hard so that everyone could stand where they are today.

“So, today, on this special day, I urge all Sarawakians, young and old, to continue standing together. Let us keep supporting our Premier and the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government, so that Sarawak can continue to grow, lead, and inspire.

“Together, we can shale a future that honours our past and build something even greater for generations to come.

“Selamat Hari Sarawak. God bless you all, and God bless Sarawak.”
