Arrival at Port Klang: Chinese Navy 989 Fleet Visits Malaysia

(Klang, 30th) The Chinese Navy 989 fleet, currently on an offshore comprehensive training mission, arrived at Port Klang, Malaysia on the 29th, starting a four-day goodwill visit to Malaysia.

Xinhua News Agency reported that at around 10 a.m., Chinese Navy ships Changbaishan, Zhenghe, and "Xiangqianjin 1" slowly sailed into Port Klang terminal. More than 200 people, including staff from the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, representatives of overseas Chinese students, local Chinese community members, and officers and sailors from the Royal Malaysian Navy, arrived at the port to welcome them.

Cadets from the Naval University of Engineering and the Naval Aviation University formed teams on deck, greeting the welcoming crowd.

This visit marks the first time for the Changbaishan and "Xiangqianjin 1" ships to visit Malaysia, and the third visit for the Zhenghe ship. During the visit, the Changbaishan and Zhenghe ships will hold ship open-day events, and the fleet officers and sailors will visit the Malaysian National Hydrology Center and engage in exchange activities with young officers and sailors from the Royal Malaysian Navy.
