Swiss Mountain Peak Turns Into Live Broadcast Scene! Couple’s Intimate Acts All Captured, Netizens Shocked by Snow Conditions

A recent incident in the Swiss Alps has sparked widespread attention. A couple climbed to the summit of Faulhorn, believing themselves to be alone, and engaged in intimate acts, unaware that the site was equipped with a weather observation camera. The footage was briefly streamed online in real time and witnessed by netizens.

The incident took place near Grindelwald, at an altitude of about 2,681 meters. This location offers sweeping views of the Alps and is one of the most popular viewpoint destinations. According to reports, the weather was clear at the time and because it was the off-season between winter and spring, the mountain-top hotel had paused operations and there were few people around. The couple stayed to rest on the wooden terrace, then removed their clothes and engaged in intimate behavior, with the process lasting between 10 to 30 minutes before they dressed and left to continue their trip.

However, the couple did not notice the all-weather weather observation camera installed at the summit. This device is mainly used to monitor snow conditions and weather, regularly taking images that are uploaded to a website for the public to view in real time. Some netizens commented that they were originally just checking snow and weather conditions in the mountains but unexpectedly saw the two interacting on camera. They described first laughing, then realizing how cold the high-mountain environment must be.

The entire process—from the couple’s arrival, undressing, to dressing and leaving—was recorded by the camera. After leaving, they seemed unaware that their actions had been publicly broadcast.

The footage circulated briefly online but has since been removed by the management authority. The provider of the camera system stated that the equipment is equipped with automatic privacy protection mechanisms, so when people are detected in the frame, pixelation or mosaic effects are applied to obscure identity. The company also noted that such incidents are rare, but occasionally the camera does capture tourists behaving unusually.

Additionally, reports mentioned that such behavior could have legal consequences in certain countries. For example, a couple in northern Italy was caught engaging in intimate acts in a public place on an island and fined €10,000 each (about RM46,500). If not paid within 60 days, the fine increases to €30,000 (about RM139,400). In France, similar behavior could be considered public indecency and be punishable with up to one year in prison and a maximum fine of €15,000 (about RM69,700).

As the footage was taken down, the event has gradually subsided and the parties involved have not issued any public response. The incident also raises concerns regarding monitoring equipment installed at tourist attractions, which, while providing public information, may also record individuals’ actions without their knowledge.
