U.S. President Trump's ally and conservative activist Kirk was recently shot and killed at an event in Utah. Authorities confirmed on the 12th that the suspect has been apprehended.

U.S. authorities stated that after Kirk was shot, they found two unused bullets, with anti-fascist slogans engraved on the shell casings.

Utah Governor Cox pointed out at a press conference that one of the casings had “Hey, fascist! Take this!” written on it, while another was engraved with “Bella Ciao”. It is reported this appears to reference the World War II Italian anti-fascist song “Bella Ciao”.

Cox mentioned that authorities have arrested Taylor Robinson, the suspect in Kirk's shooting. On the evening of September 11, one of Robinson's family members proactively contacted a family friend, who then reported to the Washington County Sheriff's Office that Robinson had confessed or implied to them that he was the perpetrator.

He said Robinson's family told investigators that Robinson had become “more politicized” in recent years. The family member recalled that at a dinner gathering, Robinson mentioned that Kirk would be visiting Utah Valley University and talked about why he disliked Kirk and his views.

Reportedly, Robinson told his family that he felt “Kirk is full of hatred and spreads hate.”

Trump, speaking on a New York Manhattan show on the 12th, stated that a suspect had been arrested and added: “I think we can almost be certain we've caught him, and it was someone very close to him who reported him. I hope he gets the death penalty.”
