Chen Min'er’s Eldest Son Rarely Addresses Rumors About Sexual Orientation: 'Those Who Know Me Know Who I Am'

The late veteran actor Liu Kai-chi's (Uncle Chi) widow Chen Min'er passed away earlier this month on the 12th due to illness, and her memorial service was held this afternoon. The family originally planned to hold the ceremony privately according to her wishes, but in consideration of overseas relatives and fans, they ultimately decided to livestream the service on Chen Min’er’s personal short video channel so that the public could pay their respects remotely. With Chen Min’er's passing, the Liu family has faced the successive loss of loved ones in recent years, leading to much public concern about the current situation of her two sons. Recently, eldest son Liu Wenzhe rarely gave an interview to Metro Radio’s 'Expressing Inner Feelings', calmly sharing memories with his parents.

Back in 2013, Liu Wenzhe sparked speculation about his sexual orientation when he posted photos of himself dressed femininely on social media and commented 'want to be a woman.' Years later, in this interview he spoke about his feelings for the first time, admitting that being 'slandered' at the time caused him to fall into a deep emotional slump. However, he has since become more open-minded because of this experience: 'People who know me will understand. Those who know me know who I am.'
