(Kuala Belait, 14th) The newly appointed representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Brunei, Xiao Shengzhong, visited the Brunei Hakka Association yesterday and had a cordial exchange with about 30 members, including board members, youth group, women's group members, and honorary advisors. The atmosphere was warm and friendly.
Upon arrival, Representative Xiao was warmly welcomed by President Ling Yongqiang and Vice President Rao Meiliang, among others. During the event, he shared the latest developments in Taiwan with the attendees and expressed his hope to deepen the friendship through this exchange, particularly by engaging in closer cooperation in the promotion and inheritance of Hakka culture. An in-depth discussion on how to promote the continuation and innovation of Hakka culture ensued.
