Yu Menglong's Cause of Death 'Not Simple': Suspected Timeline Leaked by Chinese Netizen Using VPN

Chinese actor Yu Menglong unfortunately fell to his death on September 11. The official statement was 'alcohol-related accident', but there is ongoing controversy about the details of the gathering that evening, with conspiracy theories abounding.

Online, a person claiming to be a Chinese netizen, unable to bear the injustice of Yu Menglong's death, has compiled a complete timeline, calling on outsiders—especially those 'not in China'—to pay attention to the matter. The netizen, who claims to be a fan of Yu Menglong, stated that any post on this incident in China is immediately deleted, so they urge everyone to share it as quickly as possible in hopes of gaining overseas attention.

From the compiled timeline and released videos, it appears to show a person suspected to be Yu Menglong hanging outside a wall, repeatedly shouting that he was running out of energy—leading many to suspect that 'hidden rules' may have indeed been involved.

The netizen's post not only provided a timeline of the death, but also mentioned imprisonment, violence, and infighting among higher-ups, with chilling content. The netizen pointed out that Yu Menglong had apparently faced threats since his debut at age 25, and was even 'frozen out' for refusing to submit to the 'hidden rules.' Later, after Yu Menglong set up his own company, he accidentally acquired key evidence, which was saved on a red USB drive. Afterwards, Yu Menglong was pressured to sign a contract detrimental to himself, and it was even noticed that he had a bruise on his forehead in August this year.

The netizen claims that around August 29, Yu Menglong made his last public appearance. Afterwards, he was allegedly put under movement restrictions, with rumors of being imprisoned in the 'Sunshine Dongfang Community' and suffering violent interrogations for half a month over the whereabouts of the USB drive. Between September 8 and 9, it is rumored that he was taken to another villa, where he was forced to drink alcohol, beaten, and humiliated.

Leaked footage shows Yu Menglong, still conscious, shouting for help such as 'Even if you play me to death, I will never give in,' and 'I'm running out of strength.' The netizen also claims that someone witnessed him being hung upside-down outside the window, leaving marks. Later, Yu Menglong was allegedly pushed off the building, dragged back indoors, with serious head injuries and in a dazed state. According to some, he might have swallowed the USB drive and suffered stab wounds to his abdomen as a result. Most shocking, rumors claim that in a 'third location', he was changed into a different set of clothes, and staff attempted to fake a suicide scene before finally throwing him out of the building.

These claims have yet to be confirmed by authorities. Today (20th), the official 'CNR' (China National Radio) Douyin account unexpectedly opened its comment section, which was flooded with tens of thousands of comments, all demanding a thorough investigation. Previously, the 'Cultural Tourism Beijing' account had amassed a total of 680,000 comments, all of which have since been completely deleted.
