Local singer Namewee, who is alleged to be involved in the Taiwanese female internet celebrity murder case, was granted police bail for the third time on Wednesday.

Jinma District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Shazali confirmed that Namewee was granted police bail on Wednesday.

This is already the third time Namewee has been granted police bail, and he is required to report to the police station on schedule.

Namewee was first granted police bail on the 13th of last month, and after reporting to the police station 13 days later, he was granted bail for the second time until Wednesday.

According to reports, the deceased, Hsieh Youxin, was found dead in a bathtub of a hotel in the capital on October 22; Namewee was accused of being the last person seen with her.

The case was initially classified as sudden death, but was later investigated as a murder case after new leads emerged. Namewee was detained for investigation on the 5th of last month.

However, Attorney General Tan Sri Mohamad Dusuki stated that after reviewing the investigation results, authorities found no evidence linking Namewee to the murder, and thus he was granted bail.

The police are waiting for the forensic department to submit the complete autopsy report, after which the investigation documents will be resubmitted to the Attorney General's Chambers for further instructions.
