The Israel Defense Forces issued a statement on the 6th, claiming to have destroyed the bunker of the late Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei located in the center of Iran's capital, Tehran.
The statement said that about 50 Israeli warplanes, based on "precise intelligence," struck the bunker located beneath Iran's "leadership complex." This bunker was originally Khamenei's emergency security command center, spanning multiple streets in downtown Tehran, containing multiple entrances and meeting rooms for use by Iran's senior leaders. The destruction of this bunker "will further weaken the Iranian regime's command and control capabilities."
On the 3rd, the Israeli military issued a statement saying that it had struck the "Iranian regime's leadership complex—the most core and important headquarters of the Iranian regime" in downtown Tehran, dropping "a large number of munitions" on the Iranian presidential palace and the building housing the Supreme National Security Council.
