Mostly Cloudy with Thunderstorms in the Next Three Days; Sea Conditions Turning Moderate to Severe

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 24th) Brunei Meteorological Department today released the weather forecast for the next three days, predicting that from today until Tuesday, most areas nationwide will experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions, with occasional showers or thunderstorms.

In terms of temperature, the day-to-night variation over the three days is not significant; daytime highs are about 30°C and nighttime lows are around 24°C. Wind speeds will range between 10 to 25 km/h, mainly coming from the northeast or northwest.

As for sea conditions, the meteorological department points out that in the coming days, the sea is expected to range from moderate to rough, with wave heights about 1.8 to 2.5 meters, posing a potential hazard to small vessels and all kinds of marine recreational activities.

At the same time, authorities warn that low-lying and flood-prone areas face the risk of sudden flooding; areas affected by heavy rain or thunderstorms may also encounter gusts reaching up to 45 km/h. The public is advised to remain vigilant and avoid dangerous areas.
