A bizarre tragedy occurred in Kasamatsu Town, Gifu Prefecture, Japan, at around 8:45 am on the 28th. A 21-year-old woman lost her life after sticking her head out of the passenger seat window of a moving car, causing her head to be violently struck by the wall of an elevated bridge.
According to Japanese media reports, local police stated that the deceased was Kokone Matsubara, a resident of Ginan Town. She was found lying on the ground, and after being rushed to the hospital, was declared dead nine hours later due to severe head injuries.
The investigation revealed that the driver was also a 21-year-old woman named No Minami, whose blood alcohol level was significantly over the legal limit. She was arrested on the spot for driving under the influence. At the time of the incident, the deceased woman’s young child was also in the backseat, but thankfully was unharmed.
