When Will Military Action Against Iran End? Trump: Very Soon, But Not This Week

On the 9th, U.S. President Trump stated that U.S. military action against Iran would end very soon, but not within this week.

At a press conference held in Miami, Florida, when asked whether military action against Iran could possibly end this week, Trump replied that it would not.

He pointed out that the U.S. military has struck more than 5,000 Iranian targets, sunk 51 Iranian naval vessels, destroyed over 90% of Iran's missile launchers, and more than 80% of its drone launchers.

He threatened that some of the most important targets would be left for later, relating to electricity production and many other aspects.

When speaking about Mojtaba being elected as Iran's Supreme Leader, Trump expressed his disappointment.

He said he still intended for an internal Iranian candidate to govern.

Investigation Underway for Iran Primary School Attack

When asked whether the U.S. would take responsibility if a Tomahawk cruise missile destroyed a girls' school in southern Iran, Trump replied that Tomahawk missiles are sold and used by other countries, and that Iran itself also has some Tomahawk missiles. The matter is currently under investigation.

On February 28, a primary school in Minab city, southern Iran, was attacked amid U.S. and Israeli military action. According to Iranian media reports on March 1, the school saw at least 165 deaths, most being girls around ten years old. Based on a video posted online on the 8th, several American media outlets analyzed and determined that a Tomahawk cruise missile struck a naval base next to the primary school in Minab. In this conflict, the U.S. military was the only participating force using this type of missile.

In addition, that afternoon, during a phone interview with a CBS journalist, Trump said he believes the war against Iran had been carried out very thoroughly.

He pointed out that Iran now has no navy, no communication facilities, no air force, almost no missiles left, its drones and drone factories have been destroyed, and from a military perspective, they have nothing left.
