(Sisi, 16th) — Honghua School Chairperson Lu Siyun and Academic Supervisor Zheng Shijuan visited Beijing, China, completing a professional learning program and received certificates of completion issued by the organizer.
During their study, they made a special visit to iFlyTek, engaging in in-depth discussions on the role and prospects of artificial intelligence (AI) in the future of education.
During the visit, the two school leaders gained detailed insights into iFlyTek’s latest achievements in AI technology and educational solutions, including how intelligent tools empower teaching, optimize the learning process, and support overall school development through a variety of innovative applications.
Of particular note, both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on the potential of AI in inclusive education. Especially in special educational needs (SEN) classrooms, AI can provide effective support for diverse teaching by enabling personalized learning pathways, enhanced communication tools, and resources adapted to students of varying abilities.
Chairperson Lu Siyun expressed that this visit has provided valuable inspiration for the school’s future development planning. She emphasized: “AI has brought new opportunities to education, especially in helping teachers respond more precisely to individual differences among students—a value that is particularly significant. In terms of inclusive education, technology can be a powerful tool to enhance the learning experience and promote student engagement.” At the same time, she stressed: “Although technology can provide support, the role of teachers in caring for, guiding, and understanding each child is irreplaceable.”
After visiting the technology company, the delegation continued their cultural learning journey, heading to Juyongguan Great Wall to experience one of China’s most iconic cultural heritages firsthand. This cultural tour not only allowed participants to appreciate China’s profound cultural foundation, but also inspired deep reflection on values such as resilience and perseverance.
This Beijing study trip is one of a series of initiatives by Honghua School to continuously advance innovation, strengthen teacher professional development, and actively explore new paths to support students’ overall growth. The school stated it will continue to integrate technology and the humanities, creating a more forward-looking and inclusive educational environment for its students.
Before the end of the program, participants also visited Beijing’s Changping District, touring the “number one mighty pass under heaven” at Juyongguan, and climbed the Great Wall, reinforcing their deep impression of Chinese history and geography gained in the cultural classroom.
