(Bandar Seri Begawan, 23rd) Turkish Ambassador to Brunei, Hamit Ersoy, gave an introduction at Sultanah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah Secondary School (STPRI) on the general overview of Turkey, its education system, and scholarship opportunities provided by the Turkish government.
School leaders, vocational education teachers from public secondary schools and colleges across the country, as well as officials from the Ministry of Education's Department of Schools (JSS) Vocational Education section, attended the event. After the presentation, a question-and-answer session was held.
At the end of the ceremony, Andre Asmara, Head of the Education Projects and Services Academic Vocational Education Section of the JSS, presented a certificate of appreciation and a souvenir to Ambassador Hamit Ersoy.
This briefing session was co-organized by the Turkish Embassy in Brunei and the Ministry of Education's Junior Services Division (JSS) Academic Vocational Education Section. Prior to this, both parties had held a meeting in October 2025.
The purpose of this briefing was to introduce school and college leaders and teachers in the country to the opportunities for pursuing higher education in Turkey through government-funded scholarships.
The session also hoped to encourage more students to consider Turkey as their primary destination for future studies.
