(Seri Begawan, 21st) ─ The Brunei Go Association team recently traveled to Hong Kong to participate in the 3rd ‘Sihai Cup’ Hong Kong International University Go Tournament, organized by the Hong Kong Greater Bay Area Go Promotion Association, and ranked 18th among 19 competing teams.
This year’s tournament was held at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, attracting university student Go teams from multiple countries and regions to compete together. The Brunei Go Association sent a three-member delegation led by Vice Chairman Chen Xinwen.
The Brunei team members included Zhao Zhengbao (personal ranking 39th), Julian Mikituk (32nd), and Lu Weiwen (53rd), all of whom demonstrated impressive strength and determination.
The tournament was ultimately won by the Tsinghua University team from China, highlighting their profound Go heritage.
