(Miri, 7th) The head of Miri Dejiaohui Zixing Pavilion, Xu Weilong, stated that the pavilion’s Fitness Group, the Chinese He Xiang Zhuang Qigong, is a very active unit. In addition to regular practice sessions, it also actively organizes outings and charity activities, and maintains close cooperation and contact with other groups within the pavilion. United under the banner of Dejiaohui, they promote the organization's progress towards greater harmony and growth.
He made these remarks last night at the opening ceremony of the “2026 Flying Crane in the Sky” Veterans, New Talents, and Elite Male and Female Chinese Singing Competition organized by the Chinese He Xiang Zhuang Qigong under the Miri Dejiaohui Zixing Pavilion Fitness Group.
He said that Dejiaohui is a public welfare organization that integrates religion, education, and charity, advocating the philosophy of the five religions sharing a common origin and harmonious coexistence. The organization abides by the teachings of the Xietian Pavilion Master, upholds the ten chapters and eight tenets of moral conduct in Dejiaohui, and actively promotes charity and missionary education work.
He pointed out that the association has been carrying out a variety of public welfare activities over the long term, including providing aid to impoverished families, free medical consultations and medicine distribution, providing coffins, as well as disaster relief for flood and fire victims. At the same time, it has established moral education classes to promote missionary work, and every year arranges lecturers to visit various secondary and primary schools to hold motivational seminars, instilling etiquette and proper conduct in students.
In addition, the pavilion also promotes various fitness and recreational activities through its fitness class subgroups to enhance the health awareness of the public and the members.
He expressed his gratitude to all committee members for sharing the workload in unity so that the activities could be carried out smoothly, and expressed sincere thanks to all attendees.
