(Miri, 7th) Organized by Chung Hua (National) Secondary School, Miri, and technically supported by the Sarawak Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development, and Sasbadi Learning Solutions, the 2025 Borneo International Robotics Championship is grandly held at the Grand Ballroom of the Meritz Hotel in Miri from today to May 10th.

This year's event attracted a total of 220 teams from both domestic and international origins, covering various age groups, including 48 elementary school teams (ages 9 to 12), 48 junior high school teams (ages 13 to 15), 48 high school teams (ages 16 to 18), 33 robot sports teams (tennis project, ages 11 to 18), and 44 open category teams.

Among them, 167 teams are from Malaysia, while the remaining 53 teams hail from China, Chinese Taipei, Macau, Vietnam, and Thailand, showcasing the tournament's growing international appeal and competitiveness.

The organizers hope that through this international-level technology competition platform, not only can local students' interest and capabilities in artificial intelligence and robotics be enhanced, but it also creates a good opportunity for cross-national student exchange, further promoting the development of educational technology in the region.
