He later admitted his mistake while attending an event, and called on everyone to strictly obey traffic rules. According to images circulating online in China, Hou Minghao had just wrapped up filming for a drama and was preparing to leave the scene in a nanny car. To interact warmly with the enthusiastic fans waiting for him, he deliberately leaned his head out of the car window to greet and 'spoil' his fans. However, this thoughtful action violated traffic regulations, and the scene was captured by passing citizens who promptly reported it to the police.
Reportedly, after Hou Minghao and the driver were notified, they went to the police station for an interview. Besides providing education on traffic safety regulations, the police also had the two of them sign a pledge for safe and civilized travel on the spot.
