Thailand Trains 100,000 Cybersecurity Personnel to Strengthen Cyber Defense Against Online Fraud

A graduation ceremony was held on the 5th for the cybersecurity training program organized by Thailand's National Cyber Security Agency, where 100,000 cybersecurity personnel from various industries completed their training tasks.

At the graduation ceremony, Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Economy and Society, Chaiwut Thanakamanusorn, stated that as Thailand enters a fully digital era, cybersecurity plays a crucial role in establishing trust.

He said that Thailand prioritizes the development of digital infrastructure to promote sustainable economic, social, and national security.

He also emphasized the need to strengthen collaboration between various agencies to address international cyber threats and combat cybercrime, including telecom fraud and online gambling.

Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of the National Cyber Security Agency, Amornchai, pointed out that the training program provided professional training to cybersecurity personnel from critical infrastructure organizations, regulatory agencies, government institutions, and the private sector. The training content covers professional courses in areas such as cyber threat warnings, hacker attack prevention, operational technology security, digital forensics, and advanced cyber risk management, aiming to systematically enhance cybersecurity skills at various levels in Thailand.

Thailand has established a National Cyber Academy, which will serve as a national center for cybersecurity learning, research, and talent development and is committed to becoming a globally competitive talent development center.
