US President Trump stated on social media on the 13th that the US Central Command had just bombed Iran's oil export hub Kharg Island on his orders, completely destroying all military targets on the island.
He said he did not choose to destroy the island's oil infrastructure, but if Iran or any other country interferes in any way with the free and safe passage of ships in the Strait of Hormuz, "I will immediately reconsider this decision."
Kharg Island is located in the northwest of the Persian Gulf and is Iran's largest crude oil export base, handling 90% of the country's oil exports.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Qalibaf posted on social media on the 12th that if the US and Israel attack any of Iran's islands in the Persian Gulf, Iran will abandon all restraint.
