(Miri, 7th) – The Miri Hoi Ning Association’s 40th anniversary celebration was grandly held this morning in a warm and lively atmosphere, attracting fellow townsfolk from local and all over Malaysia to gather and witness the association’s brilliant 40-year journey together.
The president of Miri Hoi Ning Association, Cheong Chi Ming, expressed his gratitude to all fellow townsfolk for enthusiastically attending the association's 40th anniversary celebration, witnessing its development together, and paid high tribute to all past presidents and committee members.
He said that since its establishment in 1985, the Miri Hoi Ning Association could not have developed step by step to its current state without the selfless dedication and contributions of predecessors, making it an important platform for uniting the bonds of the community.
“The 40th anniversary celebration is not only a moment to reflect and give thanks, but also an opportunity to look forward to the future and advance hand-in-hand. I hope that with the efforts of the new generation, the association will continue to progress and grow, creating a warm and harmonious big family for everyone.”
Cheong Chi Ming also revealed that a rich program will be arranged for the celebration, along with a variety of hometown delicacies, so that everyone can enjoy familiar flavors while gathering, deepening the strong atmosphere of hometown affection.
She said the successful completion of the 40th anniversary celebration was due to the dedication of the whole organizing committee and the support of various sectors. On that day, the event also specially prepared a feast of Hoi Ning specialty dishes, so all the attendees could enjoy hometown delicacies while leaving precious memories of togetherness.
Kong Yuexian called on all townsfolk to continue working hand in hand, to carry forward the spirit of unity, and march toward an even brighter future.
